This year Sony has introduced five new digital voice recorders to their line-up. The newest consumer model is the Sony ICD-UX512. Sporting 2GB of internal memory, this unit will keep you recording for over 100 hours, there's a microSD card slot, expanding your recordings capabilities up to 16GB, which will give you 4,000 hours of recording time. No need to fuss with wires and cords, as this model has a swing out USB arm, making it easier than ever to transfer recordings to your PC or MAC.
This entry level recorder comes in red, black and silver. The Sony ICD-UX512 is best for capturing lectures and notes but can also be used to record music. The built-in stereo speaker will allow you to play MP3, WMA, and ACC and file formats.
