 The 1 Year Advanced Replacement Warranty (covers hardware) goes into effect the date of purchase. Should the unit malfunction or break, Recorders.com will transmit an Etag or electronic FEDEX shipping tag via Email. This electronic communication may be used as an official FEDEX shipping label. The malfunctioning unit will be shipped back to Recorders.com (no freight expense to our client) and replaced with a new unit.

The product will be replaced with the same product model by the same manufacturer. If the model has been discontinued, Recorders.com will replace the faulty product with the "new and improved" (i.e. it may have more features) model.

  • I purchased this recorder because portable recorder that I use to use would not let me to rewind and overwrite what was said. This is one of the best recorders that I have every used. No comparison to the pocket digital recorder. I have the ability to rewind, review and overwrite what was said, just like a tape recorder. The reason I chose this model over the other was I was able to quickly change to a conference type mic to capture all the statement that we have to take. I have several folders I use for interviews and one folder for dictation my reports. I have been using Dragon Naturally Speaking for years and the extra software you get with this recorder is very valuable. I can make a backup copy, open Dragon and have the software type the report out automatically for me. All I do is drop the recorder in the cradle (extra purchase) wait for the device to download the files, make any corrections, Click on finish and then copy and past into report. It is pricey but it cuts my report writing time down drastically. Dragon naturally speaking does make some mistakes but it is well worth the money too. I can dictate a Search Warrant in no time at all. I have been in LE for 20 years and use to have to hand write reports. I just dictate everything now. I'd rather cut paper to CYA. No problem.

  • We have used other devices however, the university now requires all mobile devices that are used to store protected information to be encrypted. We are using both the DS7000 and DS3500 recorders to record patent encounters, the high quality audio is great improvement over the Sony devices we used in the past.  All files are now protected and the process of sending the files through the software was seamless.

  • I have this recorder in my law practice and it performs well in several environments. I am able to use the recorder in meetings and for personal dictation without worrying about the quality of the audio.

  • Easy to use and has all the features we require to record in a court room setting. We are happy to have the flexibly to record in stereo or mono mode depending on record setting. When in mono recording the files can be editing easily, when we switch to stereo recording it prevents accidental recording over a previous recording which is a must for our organization since we are required to record with a device that disables file tampering.  This is the first dual function recorder we have owned that works in both dictation and conference modes which prevents A LOT of flexibility. The battery life is exceptional, the software is easy to learn and provided a great deal of automation from the download and management of files. The only con is the recorder  desktop docking station is not included in the price you have to buy it separately or just use the USB cable provided.  For the price point the docking station should be in box as a supplied item.

  • Very happy with this recorder for professional use in our clinic. I can easily send my dictations from my laptop to either one of my transcriptionist with one click. I never have to worry about the quality of the audio or keeping up with what files are in progress for transcription.  The security features are a must have where moving documentation fast is important but keeping that data private is crucial.  Excellent all around solution and your support team makes everything work together.  Thank you.
