If your application version is not 4.9.4, it is recommended you download and install this software update.

Note: This update will not upgrade DSS Player Pro pre-release 4. For customers who would like to upgrade their DSS Player Pro release 3 software to Release 4 software, please contact your Olympus Authorized Audio Dealer.

Software bugs fixes and/or enhancements:

All	2000/XP	Bug	On some Lenovo computers, Explorer could detect DVR but SS Player couldn't detect the DVR. The Dictation Module couldn't display the DVR in the device tree view.
Transcription	2000/XP	Bug	The Advanced Notification function on sub-folders caused the notification on other folders in the hierarchy.
Both	Vista	New	Vista Compatibility support. [Restrictions] 1. In Vista x64 edition, Directrec Configuration Tool cannot control button functions allocated to 64-bit applications. 2. In Vista x64 edition, If you installed in "All Users Settings" installer option, you must use the ‘Run as administrator’ command function to modify application settings. Users with administrator rights will not be enough. 3. In a combination of Vista and AMD Athlon 64 Dual-Core, the Remote Dictation Window will experience a 1 second delay when stopping recording or playback. 4. The TM document link function and Word 2007 requires that you specify docx file as template saving dotx and docm files as docx. 5. On certain specific pc installed Vista x32 edition, application error occurs when Device Detector auto-launch first time after installation. This problem disappears when you reboot the pc.

Installation Instructions:

NOTE: It is recommended that you logon to the PC as an administrator when installing this software update.

1. Click the DSS Player Pro Release 4.x Update Version 4.9.4 link to start the download.

2. Save the file to your hard disk.

3. Close all open programs.

4. Double-click the P4UP94EN.EXE program file on your hard disk to start the update program.

5. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
